We knew that your ad was imminent and we were not mistaken, the ASUS ROG Phone II has been presented a few hours ago and we already know all its keys , both at the level of design and hardware.
In general we can say that there are no surprises. ASUS has maintained practically the same design and the same line that we saw in the previous generation model. Yes, there are minor changes as we can see in the attached video, but the most important developments are found in the specifications of the ASUS ROG Phone II.
The construction quality of this terminal fits into what we can consider as a premium level, since it uses the classic metal frame with two layers of glass as a “sandwich . ” On the back we have the ASUS ROG logo with RGB LED lighting, a detail that, taken together, gives it an “aggressive” touch and highlights its gaming character.
ASUS ROG Phone II: a smartphone with portable console soul
The Taiwanese giant has repeated the approach of the original model, but has managed to play its cards to boost all those points that were a bit “loose.” In this regard, the largest screen size, which grows to 6.59 inches, and the use of an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz , capable of reproducing 108% of the color spectrum, stands out. DCI-P3 and with HDR10support .
The screen is a key piece when we talk about smartphones, and in this sense the ASUS ROG Phone II can boast a first level solution. Not only has it improved in size and refresh rate, but it also brings a touch sampling frequency of 240 Hz and raises the resolution to 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
The heart of this smartphone is a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC , a very powerful chip that comes with an eight-core Kryo 485 CPU and an Adreno 640 GPU. The high-performance core of that CPU works at almost 3 GHz and its graphics core offers 15% more performance than the version used in Snapdragon 855.
Powerful, very powerful, but we already know that power without control is of no use, especially when we talk about heat and smartphones. To avoid temperature problems ASUS has used a steam chamber- based cooling system that helps keep working temperatures under control. This is essential, as it allows the Snapdragon 855 Plus to develop its full potential in a sustained way instead of limiting it to small bursts.

Price and availability
ASUS has not specified the sale price of this terminal, but taking into account that the original model arrived at the market with a price of 900 euros, and that had clearly lower characteristics, it is expected that the ASUS ROG Phone II will end up between the 1,000 and 1,100 euros.
The launch of this terminal will take place in September and at the moment it will only be available in black . We cannot rule out that ASUS is encouraged to introduce new colors in the short or medium term, but at the moment there is nothing confirmed.
I remind you that this terminal is designed to work as a portable console and as a smartphone, although it gives priority to its potential for gaming.
